Madden NFL 19 simulation has Rams beating Patriots

About this Blog

The Rams beat the Patriots on this simulation based heavily over play of defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who sacked Tom Brady 4x and hit him seven times to win the Super Bowl MVP award. Based on EA's version from the game, the Patriots and Rams were tied at 20-20 entering the 4th quarter. Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein developed a 53-yard field goal to offer L.A. a 23-20 lead, then again Tom Brady -- who threw for 287 yards, two touchdowns along with an interception -- looked as though he would win another Super Bowl to the Patriots using a 9-yard touchdown pass to Super Bowl LI hero James White to offer New England a 27-23 lead. But the Rams would win the overall game after Todd Gurley scored over a 5-yard touchdown run to supply Los Angeles a 30-27 lead that might hold. The game predicted Jared Goff and Robert Woods would match Brady and his awesome crew of receivers. Goff had 303 passing yards with two touchdowns plus an interception, and Woods had eight catches for 103 yards plus a touchdown. Julian Edelm
